About This Database

Free nutrition facts. No account. No tracking. Just data.

What We Do

We make nutrition science accessible. 9,200+ foods with complete nutrient profiles, amino acid breakdowns, glycemic index data, and evidence-based health scores. All free. No login required. No personal data collected.

Our Data

Nutrition facts come from the USDA FoodData Central — the U.S. government's authoritative nutrition database — and Open Food Facts, the world's largest open-source food products database. We compute 18 health scores, cross-reference foods with health conditions, and generate amino acid profiles from primary USDA data.

Why Free?

Nutrition information should be a public utility, not a subscription. The USDA data is taxpayer-funded and belongs to everyone. We organize it, enrich it, and make it searchable — but the underlying data is public. We may earn affiliate commissions on supplement and product recommendations to cover hosting costs. No ads, no paywalls, no data selling.

Who Runs This?

The Nutrition Database is maintained by a team of nutrition researchers and software engineers who believe health information should be open and evidence-based. Content is generated from USDA data with AI enrichment for readability, reviewed against peer-reviewed literature.
